So, there we are on holidays!!! We´ve decided that these four free days should feel like real holidays. And that´s what they did, in fact!
We left on Thursday morning. We took it easy. The Luxembourg highway was full of traffic jams so we took another road through the Ardennes, enjoyed the view, and you had a bottle (of milk...) in Cinney...
And we all really enjoyed it!!!
As we were so close, we simply couldn´t omit visiting Schengen, the historic place at the boarder of Luxembourg, France and Germany. You will understand one day :o)))
We went to see an incredible place called Cloef where the Mosel river makes an incredible U turn. It was simply spectacular - we haven´t expected to be so high with such a view. Moreover, the sun just peered out of the clouds...
We have also visited plenty local towns. Saarburg, Bernkastel-Kues. Very nice and very charming. The only thing was that we felt like we were among rare visitors of age below 60. Hm... The reason must have been that many younger tourists were on the bike. But we will also do that on the bike, next year already perhaps, with you on our bikes...
On Sunday, we made a little detour to Erpolzheim, another wine village, this time close to Mannheim, where we met with our friends Rupert, Heidrun, Jannick and Annika. Unexpectedly, the weather got nice, even too much. So, we had a nice walk and a very nice bite in one of the local producer´s yards.
